TYPICAL PROJECT CONSTRUCTION COSTS
AREAS OF SERVICE
I meet with each of my clients to explain my design process, and to provide them with a list and timeline for deliverables. This is also where I determine their needs and wants, and where I gain an understanding of their construction budget.
2. EXISTING CONDITIONS
For each project, I thoroughly document the dimensions, lot, and qualities of my client's home. While documenting existing conditions, I gain a feel for the home and further understand the client's taste and style.
3. SCHEMATIC DESIGN
In the Schematic Design Phase, I create CAD drawings of the project and work to create options that reflect my client's program needs and project scope. This phase is crucial to my understanding of lot and zoning constraints
4. DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
After the Schematic Phase has been completed and a direction has been agreed upon with my client, I work on the details of the design and explore finishes and fixtures if contracted. At the end of this phase the client really gets to see what their future home will look like.
5. construction documents
Construction documents are the crux of any design project and what I deliver to your contractor to make your project a reality! I work with a number of trusted contractors I happily recommend, but ultimately I work with a contractor of your choosing.
6. construction administration
Once construction is underway, I make regular site visits to your construction site. I review the construction progress and answer any questions you or your contractor might have to ensure that the finished project reflects the vision we have created!
“Keri made our first-time experience with an architect so simple and easy. She explained the entire process in a supportive manner making the thought of renovating our older home not so overwhelming. She was able to apply her keen eye, creativity and expertise to what we thought would be out of reach, in order to stay within the original foot-print of our home

Keri took our core, rough preferences about a house and turned them into a beautiful, functional design. Throughout the design process she incorporated our ideas and edits, provided they did not clash with the integrity of the architecture. Keri also delivered the final plans on schedule and within the initial budget. In short, we could not have asked for a better process or result!

Having met with multiple architects to discuss our project, Keri immediately made us feel that she understood our needs and would be a pleasure to work with. Our expectations were exceeded.

We HIGHLY recommend Keri! From the start, she brought wonderful ideas and professionalism to the project. Our house was built in 1931, is in a historic district, and hadn’t been updated since the 1970s. We sought to expand the footprint of the kitchen and add a new master bedroom above it. We’re also converting, adding, and renovating other rooms. Keri gave us a few different floor plan options at the start and then weaved our favorite aspects of each into a floor plan that we’re super excited about and will work well for our family’s needs.

Keri has worked with me over the last year to assess the best path forward for my renovations. She recommended a contractor and has worked very closely to help execute my final plans. Keri was responsive and listened to my needs and created a plan that was perfectly within my expectations and budget. It has been a pleasure to work with her and would not hesitate to work with her again.

It is going to sound cliché, but we feel lucky to have found Keri. We absolutely recommend her. She asked us to list out our wants, and then helped us balance that against our budget, prioritizing our true needs. She didn't just show us one design but a couple, allowing us to think through a few options. Then, after we liked a few features from two of designs she came up with a hybrid approach that we just started building. We also love her attention to detail and strong beliefs. She was a great collaborator, but also willing to challenge us when we suggested something that violated good design principles.

Keri was an absolute pleasure to work with from the start of our project to the final stages. She was personable and approachable, she listened to our wants and needs and interpreted everything we asked for perfectly in her drawings She welcomed feedback, and had such a warm and creative mind that made working with her so easy. She also grounded us in reality when necessary.

Our contractors were impressed with how thorough Keri's plans were and neighbors and friends comment that they can't even tell it was an addition. We highly recommend Keri for her artistic architectural eye, professionalism and follow through. She was a pleasure to work with and we couldn't be happier with the end result.
