Milton, MA
The layouts of most old homes don’t accommodate the needs of modern family living, and this house in Milton MA was no exception. The classic New England Colonial floor plan – also called a hall-and-parlor plan – has two identical rooms for the hall and parlor in the front of the house and a keeping room/kitchen tucked in the back. This Garrison Colonial had a kitchen and dining room that were separate spaces with limited functionality.
The homeowners wanted to reorganize the traditional floor plan while making discrete alterations that would accommodate their daily functions and yet keep the authenticity of the house intact. Making alterations to the existing kitchen partitions opened up the space providing visual and physical connection throughout the home. The materials and fixtures are the ultimate mix of a simple palette packed with a ton of timeless style.
The Three Season Porch is a dream oasis for the homeowners. They love Fall in New England and plan to spend many evenings with friends and family gathered in this cozy yet functional space.
Great Architect! Imaginative as well as pragmatic. We could tell immediately that Keri was able to envision what we were looking for as the end result. Keri completely re-designed (what I thought was already a great design because I did it!) our kitchen space in a creative, timeless, far more efficient design than I could ever think of.

Keri is very detail oriented but has a unique way of translating those details into a cohesive design that you can understand and relate to. Keri was always available for us. She was prompt, prepared, and eased our fears throughout the entire process. That's the kind of experience you want when going thru a design and construction project.
