Canton, MA
Programmatically, the Canton In-Law Living Project was about meeting the goals of a young growing family with the needs of a downsizing parent. From the exterior, the two large structures needed to be visually separated but homogenous and physically connected. Careful consideration was paid to scale, structure, and connection.
This 2300 SF addition project features a new three-car garage with second-floor in-law living. The addition is connected to the main gambrel style home via a new one-story addition that houses a family room and two mudrooms. The goal was to create an area that felt spacious and livable while remaining within the required setbacks and easements. The In-Law addition has 9’-0” ceilings, a bright, open floor plan, contrasted with dark wood floors, and carefully designed details.
We could not be more pleased with Keri's design and attention to detail in the planning of our addition and in-law apartment. Our home was built in 1890 and Keri perfectly blended the existing architecture to our new construction, paying careful attention to every detail to make the tie-in seamless. Keri's design far surpassed what we originally had in mind.

Keri listened to our priorities and made the best use of our space, exceeding our expectations. She worked with us through construction, providing advice on interior design and anything else we asked for almost immediately. Our contractors were impressed with how thorough her plans were and neighbors and friends comment that they can't even tell it was an addition. We highly recommend Keri for her artistic architectural eye, professionalism and follow through. She was a pleasure to work with and we couldn't be happier with the end result.
